Acupuncture for Pregnancy and Pre-labour Nurturing

Getting to the end of your pregnancy?

Have you moved through the ‘glowing and energised’ second trimester, into the ‘exhausted and heavy’ home stretch? Insomnia, back ache, pelvic pain, swelling and exhaustion are just a few of the common complaints my patients discuss with me at this time. Acupuncture can help ease your symptoms at any stage of your pregnancy.

Pre-Labour Preparation Acupuncture

From 36 weeks, it's time to start preparing your body for labour. Research has shown that weekly pre-labour preparation acupuncture treatments, which focus on relaxing ligaments, softening the cervix and relaxing you, may lead to a shorter labour time and an easier birth.

I’ll also take you through some really useful acupressure points you can use at home, before and during labour. Getting your partner or support person involved in the acupressure helps you physically, and also helps build a connection for you both and gives them a job to do, which is really helpful when in the middle of delivery.

It’s your time to be pampered and looked after before your beautiful bubba arrives.
